Kejri for selling Delhi model of development in Haryana

KARNAL: Struggling to get a political base in Haryana, Delhi chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday asked his workers to woo the people of the state with the development model of Delhi that can “bring about a change in political system”.

“People of Delhi have brought about a political change by voting for AAP and we have improved several services such as health, education, electricity and water supply. You can tell the people of Haryana that they can also get the same by voting for AAP in the next elections,” Kejriwal said while addressing a gathering of party workers in Kurukshetra on Sunday.

Kejriwal, who also launched AAP’S ‘Haryana Jodo Abhiyan, called upon his workers to visit every voter of the state under this massive campaign.

“You need to tell them how the AAP government in Delhi was providing electricity, health services and quality education to the people of Delhi, whereas the BJP government in Haryana has failed to improve these services,” he added.

He said the AAP government has done massive developmental works in Delhi and succeeded in putting a check on corruption. Following the party’s debacle in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls in Haryana, the AAP had not contested the assembly elections in the state held in the same year.

Kejriwal, who belongs to Haryana’s Siwani town, has now increased his focus on the state as assembly elections are due here next year.
