CM announces ₹1 lakh for injured journalist

CHANDIGARH: On the instructions of Punjab chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh, special principal secretary to Cm-cum-secretary (information & public relations) Gurkirat Kirpal Singh on Monday handed over a cheque of ₹1 lakh to injured Punjab Kesari reporter Munish Nagar, who is admitted to PGI’S advance trauma centre after he was seriously injured in a road accident last week. A family member of Nagar received the cheque. Amarinder has approved financial assistance from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to help the families of injured mediaperson, Gurkirat Kirpal said after meeting Nagar.
