CHANDIGARH: Taking cognisance of complaints received through social media grievances tracker (SMGT), Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar has ordered suspension of sub-inspector Ishwar Singh and head constable Pawan Kumar of the Haryana Police, driver Shankar Singh and conductor Vijay Kumar of Charkhi Dadri depot of the Haryana Roadways.

Additional principal secretary to chief minister Rakesh Gupta gave directions for these suspensions during a review meeting of SMGT on Monday.

Gupta said that a video was received on the CM’S Twitter handle in which some people were allegedly stabbing a youth with a knife in Jind district.

Sub-inspector Ishwar Singh and head constable Pawan Kumar who were present near the place of incident fled the spot instead of saving the youth.
