KHANNA SCHOOL REPORT EVOKES NOSTALGIA
The report on my alma mater, Anglo Sanskrit High School, Khanna, (HT, June 18) made my day. I was a student of the school from 1955-66 when Madan Gopal Chopra was the principal. There used to be a school magazine called Sursij, which was launched in 1963, and I used to edit the English section. My three brothers and I studied at the school before joining AS College, Khanna. I studied engineering in Chandigarh before joining the merchant navy. It’s an emotional story for me. Thank you, HT. Virinder Tiwari,
Panchkula the minister is against the essence of equality. Such schemes encourage the corrupt to make illegal constructions and then get it regularised by paying some amount of money. Punjab human rights committee has written several complaints to him about the rampant corruption in Bathinda municipal corporation, illegal constructions and encroachments but the lack of action has dashed the expectations that Sidhu will initiate revolutionary steps against corruption.
