Man immolates himself in UP’S Jalaun district jail

KANPUR: An inmate of Jalaun district jail committed suicide by setting himself on fire inside the lavatory of Jalaun district jail, where he had been lodged for 10 days, late on Sunday night. The inmate, Moolchandra Prajapati, 64, was rushed to the Jhansi Medical College after he was found in the toilet around midnight. He died on the way and his family was informed, said jailor Awadh Narayan Tiwari.
