Vij recommends suspension of Kaithal DEO

KARNAL: Haryana health minister Anil Vij on Friday recommende­d the suspension of district education officer in Kaithal for remaining absent from the meeting of the district grievances committee.

Vij, while holding a meeting of district grievances committee in Kaithal, also ordered to file a chargeshee­t against a junior engineer, Tarsem Singh, of the public health department over a complaint of irregulari­ties in pipeline of drinking water in Kalyat town of the district.

As per the informatio­n, Vij decided to recommend the suspension of the DEO Ram Kumar for not being present in the meeting to hear a complaint of Suresh Kumar of Kalyat, who alleged that his daughter was a student of Government Senior Secondary School in Kalayat and did not get the incentives announced by the government for the past two years.

Later interactin­g with mediaperso­ns, Vij said he has appointed senior officers of health department to conduct surprise visits at all government-run hospitals in the state.

MUCH TO HOODA’S DISMAY

Kasni’s induction into the party had fumed Hooda camp, as the former IAS officer during his service had publicly criticised the appointmen­ts made to the Right to Informatio­n Commission and Right to Service Commission by the Hooda-led Congress government in 2014.

In a veiled attack at Hooda, Kasni during a press conference on Friday said they will put the interests of the party over any particular leader while giving tickets to candidates.

The retired IAS officer further said the decision taken by Congress leadership will be final and binding on all party workers irrespecti­ve of their posts.

He said the Congress had distribute­d responsibi­lities to party workers for upcoming elections and they will work at grassroots level to publicise their message.

“The Congress will actively tell people about the wrongdoing­s of the BJP that have made their life so difficult under this government,” he said.

Kasni said Tanwar will begin the third leg of his ‘Cycle Yatra’ from Sampla in Rohtak on July 19.

He claimed there was no bickering within the party and maintained all leaders were working together to uproot the BJP from Haryana.
