REALTOR SHOT DEAD AFTER SEEING OFF KIDS IN SCHOOL VAN

-

GURUGRAM:A 37-year-old property dealer and a weighbridge owner was shot dead by five assailants in Sarai Alawardi near Palam Vihar around 6.30 am on Wednesday. The incident took place when the deceased was seeing off his nineyear-old twin children and his nephew who had just left on their school bus. The children witnessed the murder and got the bus to stop. They rushed to the shooting spot and raised an alarm, police said.

Police said the five assailants allegedly included two cousins of the victim, Mahesh Kumar Yadav, and their accomplice. Two others have not been identified. Preliminary investigations revealed that there was a property dispute within the extended family, police said.

A case under section 302 (murder), 34 (common intention) of IPC and a section of Arms Act was registered against the cousins, Gorkha and Devender, and their mother Roshni along with four unidentified persons at the Government Railway Police (GRP) police station. The case was filed on the statement of Suresh Kumar Yadav, the brother of the victim. The police said all the accused are at large.

Mahender Singh Verma, DSP, GRP, Faridabad, said they are conducting raids to arrest the identified accused.

The local police in Bajghera, where the victim lived, said they had received a complaint from the victim on July 16, in which he had alleged that his cousins threatened to kill him during an argument they had over the dog of one of the accused.

Family members said the children were shocked. “They were so scared that they were unable to speak and it took two hours to counsel them after which they narrated the incident to the family and investigators,” Pankaj Yadav, Mahesh’s brother, said.
