Send Group-d posts requisition by tomorrow: Haryana warns babus
The government has taken a serious view in this regard (missing deadlines) and directed all the departments, boards and corporations to submit requisition for all Groupd posts by 12 noon of August 11, 2018 positively. READS THE LETTER SENT TO DEPARTMENTS, CORPORATIONS
CHANDIGARH : Upset over the bureaucrats of a section of the departments failing to send Group-d posts requisition to Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) despite extending the deadline repeatedly, the Manohar Lal Khattar-led Haryana government on Thursday took a ‘serious view’ of this lapse and set August 11 as the deadline to complete the process.
On July 27, chief secretary DS Dhesi had directed the administrative secretaries to send Group-d vacancies of their departments online to HSSC within 10 days. It is since April this year, that the government has been asking the officers to complete this exercise.
There are about 30,000 vacant Group-d posts, which the Haryana government, already in poll mode, wants to fill fast.
As yet another deadline ended on Wednesday without achieving the objective, the state government on Thursday sent a ‘most urgent’ letter to all administrative secretaries, heads of departments, commissioners of all six divisions, deputy commissioners, boards and corporations to complete the exercise.
“The state government has taken a serious view in this regard and directed all the departments, boards and corporations to submit requisition for all Group-d posts by 12 noon of August 11, 2018 positively,” reads the letter the CS office has sent.
In this communiqué, the government reminded the officers about the instructions issued on July 30 and August 7 requesting to submit the consolidated requisition for all group-d posts —except for the posts of sweeper, chowkidar and sweeper-cum-chowkidar — by August 8.
“But it has come to notice that some departments have not sent the requisition to the HSSC,” the letter pointed out.
As per official records, the government began asking the officers from April 4 this year to complete the exercise.
The first deadline was April 12 and since then the deadline has been extended numerous times, government sources say.
The government has also directed administrative secretaries to make necessary amendments in service rules of their departments to implement the state government’s ‘no interview’ policy for recruitment in Group-c and D posts.
The recruitments will now be made on the basis of written examination and minimum educational qualification.
The cabinet had taken a decision to do away with the interview system during the selection process in case of recruitment to Group-c and D posts.
Minimum educational qualification fixed for appointment to these posts is Class 10, while written examination will be of 90 marks and 10 marks have been fixed for socio-economic parameters and experience.
