KARNAL: A 13-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and molested in Panipat on Monday by around 10 men.

The girl’s family complained to the police that the accused gave the girl some intoxicant and took her to a farmhouse in a village of Panipat district.

The police said that the victim could only recall the name of one of the accused, Mohit Kumar, which the men were using. The police said the victim’s father has complained of sexual harassment but ruled out rape in the complaint.

However, Panipat DSP Jagdeep Doon said the family did not agree for the girl’s medical examination and now the police will record her statement before the magistrate on Tuesday. In the police complaint, the father of the victim alleged that sround 10 people came in a black car and made her unconscious with some intoxicant and took her in the car.

He said a farmer working in the fields noticed them and informed him (the father).

They later found her alone lying unconscious in the fields following which, they informed the police and took her to the Panipat civil hospital, the father said in his statement.

The DSP said that the girl was taken to the Panipat civil hospital and her condition was normal.
