GURUGRAM: The police arrested six men and apprehended three juveniles for allegedly abducting and assaulting an 18-year-old college student in Sector 9 on Friday. The victim, who was found unconscious on the ground, is undergoing treatment at the Civil Hospital. His condition is reportedly critical, the police said.

On Saturday, four teams of CIA-10 raided several locations and rounded up 15 suspects. Police said the attackers, all of whom were known to the victim, Rohit Yadav, abducted him from near his house around 10am on Friday and abandoned him in a severely injured state near a condominium in Sector 37.

Rohit was found after a passerby called the police control room around 1.45pm, informing of an unconscious man in Sector 37. The police took Rohit to a private hospital in Sector 10 and was shifted to Civil Hospital by night.

“The victim sustained injuries on his back, legs and arms. The attackers, who came on three motorcycles and three scooters, picked him up from near his house. Rohit had recently fought with some of the accused,” DCP (crime) Sumit Kuhar said. The police said there are two groups in the colony who fought over “supremacy”.

The police received a complaint from Billu Ram stating his son, Rohit Yadav, had gone to meet someone in the neighbourhood in the morning, but had not returned till afternoon and was not reachable on his cellphone.

A case was registered under relevant IPC sections at Sector 9 A police station after which the case was transferred to CIA-10. Accused will be produced before a duty magistrate today.
