EXPLOITATION OF WOMEN AT WORKPLACE

-

This is in response to the statement issued by a BJP MP who termed #metoo campaign as the beginning of a wrong practice. Sexual harassment is a crime against the dignity of a human being in general. Every woman has the right to work at a safe and sane place. The belief that men are superior and have an authority over women is the result of a sick mentality. Moreover, it is quite shameful to objectify women as a means of sexual pleasure and harassing them by using their career prospects as a bait is something no civilised man should ever indulge in. It is not only illegal but also against the norms of morality upheld by the society at large.

Shivam Aggarwal,

Ludhiana shows. He wants good governance. Instead of trading angry barbs, parties should confine themselves to constructive criticism. A hyperbolic rhetoric, tinged with religion, runs the risk of pushing Punjab back into the dark days and it should be avoided at all cost.

Nanda, Ludhiana have been holding political shows in each other’s bastions to show their might. Congress and radical Sikh leaders are targeting the senior Badal who, despite being 90-year-old, is active in politics and is trying to ward off challenges for him and his son Sukhbir Singh Badal. Given the rising political temperature in Punjab, the 2019 Lok Sabha polls are set to be a tough-fought contest. Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party may get decimated due to infighting and expulsions.
