WEED OUT GRAFT FROM MANDIS

-

The nexus of rice millers and commission agents is again at work in harassing and swindling poor farmers. The actual procurement is taking place below the Minimum Support Price (MSP), despite the government taking credit for its hike. Why is the govt not taking action to weed out corruption from grain mandis and ensuring that farmers get the MSP without dilution? The government needs to take stock of the situation and act against rice millers and corrupt officials. Let us understand the farmer and meet his aspirations. Ensuring genuine welfare of farmers has to be a key result area for the government.

Colonel RD Singh (retd), his supposedly more popular elder brother, MK Azhagiri. Akhilesh Yadav is easy-going and accommodative, but does not hesitate to put his foot down when necessary.

Tarsem Singh, Mahilpur newer, glossier packaging to manipulate voters. Citizens need to be vigilant and not to be fooled by this ‘All talk and no action’ formulae of political leaders. It is our right as well as duty.

Deepshikha, Bathinda the Seventh Pay Commission Report on the pretext of an empty treasury. Even if it is believed that the state government is facing a severe financial crunch, the question is who is responsible? Obviously, not the common man who is burdened with a new tax, almost every day, in the garb of increasing the state’s revenue. What’s worse is that public representatives are drawing full salaries, pension and perks from the tax payer’s money. It seems that there is always ‘Achhe Din’ for politicians and legislators.
