AAP slams Khattar for failing to fulfil poll promises

- Sadia Akhtar

GURUGRAM:HARYANA unit chief of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Naveen Jaihind on Thursday attacked the Manohar Lal Khattar-led government for failing to fulfil its poll promises. Lashing out at the state government, Jaihind said that the state had deteriorated in several areas over the last four years.

“There have been unabated crimes against women in the past four years. Recently, a threeyear-old minor was raped and murdered but no arrests have been made,” said Jaihind, while addressing a media briefing.

“The roads are in a poor state and hospitals are deprived of doctors. The government has backtracked on its promises,” said Jaihind.

Jaihind also shared plans about Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s upcoming visit to the city.

Kejriwal will be holding a ‘Jan Sabha’ (public gathering) on November 24. He added that the Delhi CM would raise issues concerning the people of the city in the gathering.

“Kejriwal will inform people about the changes that he has made in government schools and hospitals in the Capital. We will inform them about the success of ‘mohalla clinics’ and other developmental work undertaken in Delhi,” said Jaihind.

He claimed that Khattar was threatened by the work that AAP has done in Delhi. Talking about the Kundli-manesar-palwal (KMP) Expressway, Jaihind said that if the Haryana government was truly committed to the people, it would have removed the toll tax by now.

Responding to the allegations raised by AAP, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Haryana spokesperson Raman Malik said, “The KMP Expressway had been held hostage for so long but our government managed to complete it. ”
