A SIMILAR FACEOFF HAD HAPPENED IN ROHTAK LAST WEEK WHEN DUSHYANT SUPPORTERS REMOVED ABHAY’S PHOTO AND INLD FLAG

ROHTAK : In yet another face-off between the supporters of ‘chacha-bhateeja’, partymen owing allegiance to Dushyant Chautala on Friday locked up the INLD office in Jind hours before the arrival of leader of opposition Abhay Chautala.

A similar face-off had happened in Rohtak last week when Dushyant’s supporters removed Abhay’s photo and INLD flag from party office saying the office belonged to Dushyant and his father Ajay.

On Friday, sources said as news of Abhay Chautala coming to Jind started making rounds, supporters of Dushyant reached the INLD office and locked the gates. Abhay’s supporters, who reached later, were left with no option but to stand outside. Some of them tried banging the gate and shouting slogans, but to no avail.

“What they have done is wrong. This shows their fear for Abhay Chautala,” said Pawan Kumar, a close aide of Abhay.

Abhay, the leader of opposition, who came to the district on Friday evening, skipped going to the office and rather went to the house of Julana MLA Parminder Dhull. On being asked about the feud and Dushyant supporters claiming the authority over INLD office, Abhay snapped at the mediapersons saying they were only interested in highlighting “wrong things”.

“Stop showing this all the time. Go do other stories and highlight the failures of this government, so we can also appreciate you for some constructive work,” Abhay said. He refused to comment on office takeover by Dushyant.

Dushyant Chautala is set to address a rally in Jind on December 9, where he is expected to announce his new party after INLD split-up.
