War of words intensifies as Sukhu fires fresh salvo at CM
SHIMLA : Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) president Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday said Jai Ram Thakur-led-government could not act on the chargesheet filed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as it lacked substance.
Addressing a conference of booth-level workers of Shimla (rural) assembly segment under Lakshya-2019 campaign, Sukhu said the BJP government could not take any action as its chargesheet had no substance and the allegations made against the Congress-led government were bundle of lies. “No one stopped the CM from conducting probe. Government should have done it. But they knew the chargesheet is baseless,” said Sukhu.
He said that the chargsheet Congress is going to file against Jai Ram Thakur-led government on completion of the government’s one year in power will be based on evidential proofs.
“Our chargesheet will expose many BJP leaders,” said Sukhu.
He alleged that during the BJP regime, 92 samples of medicines manufactured in Himachal failed and the Congress will expose the nexus between government and pharmaceutical companies in its chargesheet.
All India Congress Committee (AICC) co-incharge of party affairs Gurkirat Kotli said the development in the state was due to the successive governments.
Shimla (rural) legislator Vikramaditya Singh said BJP was staring at defeat in the Lok Sabha elections and Congress will win all the four seats in Himachal Pradesh.
