REVOKE RAJIV GANDHI’S BHARAT RATNA: LONGOWAL

CHAMKAURSAHIB: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Gobind Singh Longowal and Anandpur Sahib member of parliament Prem Singh Chandumajra demanded revoking Rajiv Gandhi’s Bharat Ratna.

Talking to the media at Chamkaur Sahib on Saturday, Longowal said Rajiv Gandhi was responsible for the massacre in Delhi and the Bharat Ratna awarded to him posthumously should be withdrawn.

Longowal also flayed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi for making a “U-turn” regarding a resolution passed in the Delhi assembly.

Going a step further, Chandumajra said not only the Bharat Ratna awarded to the former PM should be revoked, but he should be booked for patronising Congress leaders involved in the massacre of Sikhs. He said that the SAD would approach the Centre to withdraw Bharat Ratna awarded to Rajiv Gandhi.
