HIS MOTHER AND INLD MLA FROM DABWALI, NAINA CHAUTALA, AND 2 OTHER LEGISLATORS RECENTLY JOINED HIS NEWLY FLOATED PARTY

CHANDIGARH: Hisar Member of Parliament and Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) leader, Dushyant Chautala on Sunday dared leader of opposition in Haryana assembly and his uncle, Abhay Chautala to expel the three Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) MLAS who were now supporting the JJP.

Speaking to mediapersons, the Lok Sabha MP wondered why the INLD leadership was not ordering the expulsion of the three INLD MLAS who were now affiliated with the JJP.

Dushyant, a first-time MP and his brother Digvijay were expelled from the INLD by his grandfather, Om Prakash Chautala, for anti-party activities. His father Ajay Singh Chautala was also thrown out of the INLD for trying to run a parallel party set up, forcing the family to set up their own political outfit, the JJP.

Without naming anyone, the Hisar MP said, the leader of opposition was scared that if they expel the three MLAS, it would result in Abhay Singh losing the leader of opposition status.

“Why don’t they expel the MLAS when they have expelled me,’’ he said. Dushyant’s mother and INLD MLA from Dabwali Naina Chautala, Uklana MLA Anoop Dhanak and Dadri MLA Rajdeep Phogat have come out in support of the newly constituted JJP. Answering a question on the stance of the three MLAS during the forthcoming Haryana assembly session, the Hisar MP said the three MLAS can raise any issue of public interest during the question hour and zero hour. “Following the party whip is mandatory for voting on a Bill. The three MLAS are free to speak otherwise,’’ Dushyant said.
