BJP pushing RSS agenda in HP: Congress

- Gaurav Bisht

SHIMLA :The Congress on Thursday submitted a 34 -point charge sheet against Bjp-led state government to the governor’s office alleging that it was pushing saffron agenda in the state apart from various other discrepancies in its functioning .

While observing ‘ Nikamma diwas’ in counter to PM Modi’s Dharamshala rally marking one-year celebration of state government, Congress worker led by the state party chief Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu staged a protest march from Rajiv Bhawan to Raj Bhawan here.

Sukhu claimed the one-year BJP rule could be best described as a year of failed promises, poor governance, deteriorating law and order situation and extravagance, despite poor financial health.

In the charge-sheet, the party alleged that the Thakur government was systematically pushing the agenda of saffronisation, guided by the RSS and othersuch fanatic outfits, and it was ‘a perfect example of divisive politics aimed at polarising people for political gains’. It alleged that the debt trap of the state government was touching ₹50,000 crore and the government has raised loans of ₹3000 crore within one year.

The chargesheet claimed that the entire thrust and focus of the government was to benefit BJP workers and its supporters and the CM had failed to provide efficient administration while working under pressure from various quarters.

Alleging nepotism, Congress raised questions over various appointments made in departments, including Pollution Control Board, Asian Development Bank and others.

Meanwhile, state BJP’S chief spokesperson Randhir Sharma described the chargesheet as a bundle of lies and said it was merely a paper with baseless allegations without any substantive evidence. “Congress charge sheet lacks substance. Their move to submit a charge sheet is triggered by the growing popularity of BJP government. JAMMU : The BJP on Thursday took out a protest a rally in Kishtwar town against the police’s failure to arrest the killers of BJP leader Anil Parihar and his brothers, two months after their deaths. “It is almost two months since the BJP leader Anil Parihar and his brother were brutally killed in cold blood and the police has still not brought the killers to the book, said former minister and local MLA, Sunil Sharma.

“The police is not cooperating with the investigating agencies because their failure will be exposed.” BJP leader and his brother was fired from a close range by suspected militants on November 1 when they were returning home .
