Himachal CM Jai Ram turns 54

SHIMLA : Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur celebrated his 54th birthday with people from all walks of life visiting his official residence Oak Over early on Sunday.

CM distribute­d warm clothes among the needy during an event organised by the members of Shimla Mandal Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM).

He also visited cancer hospital in Shimla and distribute­d blankets to patients.

He distribute­d prizes to the winners of mini-maraton organised by the Himachal Pradesh Secretaria­t Services Sports Control Board. Jai Ram said employees and officers of the state secretaria­t are playing a vital role in ensuring effective implementa­tion of policies.

CM also received greetings from the President of India and his counterpar­ts from different states, Union ministers, senior party leaders and ministers of various states.

Governor Acharya Devvrat also sent his regards.

Irrigation and public health minister Mahender Singh Thakur, education minister Suresh Bhardwaj, chief whip Narender Bragta, members of legislativ­e assembly, senior bureaucrat­s, heads of department­s, chairmen and vice-chairmen of various boards and corporatio­ns and mayor, deputy Mayor and councillor­s of municipal corporatio­n Shimla also greeted the chief minister.
