BHAI BALDEV SINGH WADALA WILL LAUNCH A DRIVE AGAINST THE ALLEGED DOMINANCE ON FEBRUARY 24

AMRITSAR:EXPELLED by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) from the post of hazoori ragi (regular gurbani exponent), Bhai Baldev Singh Wadala will launch a drive against the alleged dominance of Shiromani Akali Dal leaders from village Dharowali in Gurdaspur district on February 24.

Village Dharowali has been because it is Lachhman Singh’s village who attained martyrdom while fighting to liberate Gurdwara Nankana Sahib (now in Pakistan) from Narainu mahant in 1921, said Wadala during a press conference held here.

Wadala who floated outfit ‘Sikh Sadbhawna Dal’ after being sacked in 2016, said the Sikh community is disappointed as the historic gurdwaras are no longer under the control of religious organisations but under the control of a political family. This family is doing what Mahants did during the British rule, he alleged.

“So freeing the gurdwaras, which are source of strength for the Sikh panth, from the clutches of this family (Badals) is need of the hour. For launching this drive, a big Panthic gathering will be called on February 24 at the village to mobilise the Sikh masses for upping ante against the dominance of politics over religious bodies like SGPC,” he said, adding this drive is also aimed at ensuring revocation of Fakhar-e-qaum title from the SAD patriarch and former Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal.”
