Two arrested for threatening Hry minister’s son
KARNAL : The Karnal police have arrested two people for allegedly circulating a video and messages on the social media levelling allegations on Haryana minister of state Karan Kamboj’s son Vikas Kamboj for demanding money in lieu of work and also threatening him on phone.
In his police complaint, Vikas alleged that accused Vijay Kumar of Kulwehri village had recorded his own video in which he was seen levelling false allegations on Vikas and his minister father.
Talking to Hindustan Times, Vikas said, “For the past few days, Vijay has been circulating fake massages and videos on social media to defame me and my father. When I tried to talk to him and asked him to provide the evidence to prove his allegations, he threatened me of dire consequences”
“Then I filed a police complaint against him,” he added.
Indri police station in-charge Sat Prakash said that after the complaint, the police have registered an FIR under Sections 67 A if the IT Act, and Sections 500, 501 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code against Vijay and Ankush of Kunjpura, who was also involved in circulating the video and other message of social media. They were later arrested.
