Ludhiana again, masked men rape mentally challenged girl

THIRD CASE IN LESS THAN SIX WEEKS

LUDHIANA: Three masked men on Monday barged into the house of an 18-year-old mentally challenged girl at Jamalpur here and took turns to rape her.

The victim was alone at her house as her parents had gone out for some work. The incident came to light after neighbours heard girl’s cries and saw three men rushing out of the house with their faces covered. They immediatel­y informed her parents who rushed back home. The victim narrated the entire incident to her family members following which they lodged a police complaint.

Assistant commission­er of police Harjinder Singh said the MARCH 9: A 7-year-old girl murdered after being gangraped by her cousin and his friend in Doraha. The victim’s body was found at an abandoned godown in Lakkar Mandi. The accused kidnapped the girl by luring her with chocolates.

The accused could be known to the family as they were aware that the girl was alone at her and her male friend were kidnapped by gang of miscreants near Issewal Bridge and held hostage for money. Police have registered a case under section 376-D (gangrape) of the IPC at the Jamalpur police station.

Cops are scanning footage of the CCTVS installed in the locality to identify the accused.
