HARINDER POSTED A VIDEO ON INSTAGRAM ON MARCH 16 AND MADE OBJECTIONABLE COMMENT AGAINST RAMANWAS VILLAGE GIRLS

JALANDHAR : The group of slain gangster Sukha Kahlon has threatened to eliminate a Barnala-based humorist and Youtuber, Harinder Singh, for allegedly posting defamatory videos and making objectionable remarks against Bathinda village girls.

Harinder Singh, who runs a Youtube channel, Instagram and Facebook page “Producer DXXX” with friend Bhana Sidhu, posted a video on March 16 on Instagram and allegedly made objectionable comment against Ramanwas village girls. He also posted a video on March 13 having defamatory content.

Harinder has 1.18 lakh Facebook likes, 3.28 lakh Instagram followers and 3.75 lakh Youtube subscribers.

The threat message was posted on a Facebook page “Sukha Kahlon Sharp Shooter” on Friday night along with Harinder’s picture. The post in Punjabi stated: “You have created a lot of mess (on social media) but we will thank god if we are able nail you. Rest, you take care of yourself and your supporters. You have an opportunity to tender an apology on Facebook Live with a promise not to post any defamatory video again.”

Former gangster Lakha Sidhana, along with Ramanwas panchayat members, visited Harinder’s Kot Dona village on Saturday to resolve the matter. Sidhana cautioned Harinder against posting such videos.

Harinder said they had offered an unconditional apology for objectionable remarks and have also removed the controversial video from page and channel. “We also promised not to make defamatory videos. As the matter has been resolved, the government must ensure our safety,” said Harinder, adding that they were getting threat messages and calls.

Harinder and his videos are not new to controversies as on June 14, 2018, an agriculture department official from Barnala also sought legal action against him for allegedly posting defamatory video showing farmers beating up department officials who came to destroy their paddy sown before the mandated date of June 20.

When contacted, Barnala senior superintendent of police Harjit Singh said: “We are investigating the matter and will ensure safety of Harinder and his team.”
