- HT Correspondent

KARNAL: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) working president JP Nadda on Monday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has changed the culture and nature of politics and given new identity to the country in the global arena.

Nadda also hailed Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah for scrapping Articles 370 and 35 A, saying that now the Dalits and backwards of Jammu and Kashmir will get justice.

He hinted that in the delimitation process, the number of assembly and Lok Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir will be increased and some seats will be reserved for the backwards and Dalits.

Addressing a gathering of BJP office bearers from Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Karnal and Panipat districts, Nadda asked party workers to reach out the people of every section of society and tell them about the policies and welfare schemes launched by the government.

He asked party workers to ensure BJP achieve its target of 75-plus seats in the state in coming assembly elections.

He said workers are the backbone of any political party. “Workers and leaders should make polite appeal to the voters and keep visiting them regularly,” he added.

Nadda praised chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar for bringing transparency in government appointments and transfers.

Without naming any party, he said that the opposition parties

ACCUSES CONGRESS OF PROMOTING CORRUPTION

Later, addressing a gathering at the ‘Pichcda Varg Sammelan’ at Radaur in Yamunanagar district, Nadda accused the Congress of promoting corruption in government appointments and land acquisition in the state.

Speaking on the occasion, Khattar told the party workers that the schedule for the assembly elections could be announced anytime.

He claimed that people have made up their mind to re-elect BJP government in the state as they are satisfied with its governance.

BJP state president Subhash Barala, several Haryana ministers and party MLAS were also present in the meeting. Earlier Nadda also visited Bhadrakali temple in Kurukshetra.
