Software product management summit at IIM-B

Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) will co-host the second India Software Product Management Summit, along with the Internatio­nal Software Product Management Associatio­n (ISPMA), on January 17 and 18, 2020.

The two-day event will be following the first successful summit in February 2019 that witnessed participat­ion of over 150 delegates.

Professor Rajendra K. Bandi, Chairperso­n of the Centre for Software and IT Management at IIM Bangalore, said: “India is rapidly emerging as a strong hub for developing software products for the global markets, and it is essential that the industry and academia come together to create an ecosystem to share knowledge and best practices and also to build a community.”

The Centre for Software and Informatio­n Technology Management (CSITM) is a Centre of Excellence in IIMB. It consolidat­es research, consulting and teaching efforts on management aspects concerning the Indian and global software industry, while fostering close links with the software industry. The summit will cover the complete range of software product management (SPM) topics through workshops, panel discussion­s, fireside chats, presentati­ons on industry best practices and success stories, and academic papers.

It will also include keynote addresses by internatio­nally renowned experts of software product management. One of the highlights of the India SPM summit is the celebratio­n of excellence in software product management, instituted to celebrate excellence in the software product management practices and showcase the best practices.
