JAIPUR: A day before the ban on transfers, the state government carried out a large scale reshuffle on Monday, transferring over 7,500 government school teachers.

The online procedure for transfer applications was introduced by the education department and transfer orders for 7,910 government school teachers were released late on Sunday and the transfer process was carried on till Monday morning.

The orders for mass transfers were uploaded on the Shala Darpan website and education minister Govind Singh Dotasra tweeted the about the transfers. This list has been uploaded one day before the ban on the transfers due to the bypolls in Khinvsar and Mandawa.

The transfer orders were uploaded on the website during late hours on Monday and were carried out as per the pre-defined guidelines for the online transfer system.

“Transfer orders for 230 head teachers, 355 English lecturers, 154 commerce lecturers, 163 other lecturers along with interdistrict transfers of lab assistant and librarians have been sent out.

The lists can be accessed at the staff corner of the Shala Darpan website,” said Dotasra in the tweet.

Earlier this month, Dotasra at a press conference said that the system for online applications of transfers is being introduced so that the teachers will not have to meet the political leaders or officials personally for the transfers and apply for the transfers through a systematic online process.
