Abachelor of technology computer science and engineering student of Lovely Professional University has received a lucrative job offer from Microsoft. The student, Tanya Arora, has received a package of ₹42 lakh.
As per officials, it is one of the highest offers received by a fresher in North India for the year 2019. Arora has been offered the post of software engineer at Microsoft’s India R&D Centre in Hyderabad.
Officials say LPU has secured record placement of its students for the last three years.
Tanya says, “I am excited to have received an opportunity to work with Microsoft. I did my summer internship with them and had a wonderful experience. Getting selected as a member of the Microsoft team is a dream come true. I have always been interested in technology, and have worked hard to stay on top of emerging trends, including artificial intelligence and machine learning.”
“I have immensely benefited from my peers at LPU, several of whom are as technology savvy as me. I am thankful to my alma mater, LPU, that provided me an invigorating and career-focused learning environment. My teachers and mentors at LPU guided me at every turn,” she adds.
