Khattar holds pre-budget consultation with industry stakeholders in Panipat
STATE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ASKS CM TO IMPLEMENT A TEXTILE POLICY AND MAKE AVAILABLE BANK LOANS AT LOW RATES
KARNAL : Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday held a meeting with industrialists in Panipat and sought their suggestions for the 2020-21 budget.
The CM said the budget will be prepared keeping in mind the interests of people of all the sectors including real estate, service and manufacturing.
He said this time all the MLAS will be allocated time to speak on public issues and three days will be fixed for the discussion. “This is the first time that a pre-budget consultation meeting was held with various stakeholders. Efforts are being made to improve the financial condition of the state by focusing on creating more jobs in both private and public sectors,” he added.
Meetings will be held in Faridabad and Hisar on January 15 and 16 on agriculture and allied services. He claimed that the power transmission losses have come down to 21% from 34% and steps are being taken to bring it down to 15.
Haryana Chamber of Commerce and Industries president Vinod Kumar raised the issues being faced by the industrialists of the state and asked the CM to implement a textile policy and make available bank loans for them at lower interest rates.
Khattar assured them the textile policy will be implemented after the budget session.
Later, the CM attended a programme ‘Shaura Divas’ organised on the anniversary of the third battle of Panipat. He also unfurled a flag and paid tributes to Maratha warriors.
On Wednesday, he will be participating in a rally being organised by the BJP in support of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
