Kundu’s complaint lacks substance, says CM Khattar

KARNAL: A day after independen­t MLA from Meham, Baljraj Kundu withdrew support to the BJP-JJP government citing inaction on the corruption allegation­s against former minister and BJP leader Manish Grover, Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar said there was no substance in Kundu’s charges.

“Anyone can level allegation­s and seek investigat­ion but there should be enough substance in the complaint to begin the investigat­ion,” Khattar said while interactin­g with mediaperso­ns in Karnal on Saturday.

He added, “Kundu was told he was taking up a wrong issue, but he has taken the decision (to withdraw support) in a hurry. We will see what happens next.”

Earlier, the chief minister said that he held a meeting with all deputy commission­ers and officials of Haryana Board of School Education.

He said strict action will be taken against anyone helping students in copying.

ON FACTORY BOILER BLAST

On the factory boiler blast in Bahadurgar­h of Jhajjar district, the chief minister said that an investigat­ion has been ordered to find out the cause behind incident and the government will provide all support to the family members of the deceased.

The chief minister announced that Pinkathon will be organised at all district headquarte­rs to celebrate Internatio­nal Women’s Day on March 8.
