One lakh youths will be given jobs in next two years: Khattar

KARNAL: Claiming that 80,000 youths in the state were provided jobs in the last five years, Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday said the government would be providing jobs to one lakh youths in the next two years.

He also appealed to the youths to not run behind government jobs and focus on improving their skills so as to get jobs in the private sector and multinatio­nal companies.

Stating that the Bharatiya Janata Party government was committed to deal with the problem of unemployme­nt, Khattar said special focus will be on the education sector in the budget for the next financial year.

Randeep Surjewala’s allegation­s that the BJP government has pushed the state into debt, Khattar said, “Surjewala’s mathematic­s is very poor and there is need to improve it.”

Speaking at an event organised to mark Maharaj Shoor Saini Jayanti in Kurukshetr­a, the chief minister said the Saini community had played a big role in the independen­ce movement and developmen­t of the country.

Accompanie­d by Kurukshetr­a MP Nayab Saini, the CM also inaugurate­d the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule block and announced that efforts will be made to provide a plot under HSVP to Saini Samaj for a constructi­on of a hostel and library. He also announced to set up a nursling college in Saini School building.
