PATIALA: Unhappy with chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh and education minister Vijay Inder Singla’s alleged indifference towards their demands, the aspiring teachers have again decided to ‘gherao’ CM’S residence in Patiala on Wednesday and Friday.

The aspiring teachers were expecting some announcements from the chief minister and the education minister on Monday as chief principal secretary to chief minister Suresh Kumar on March 12 had promised Tet-pass ETT and BED teachers that some announcements in their favour will be made on March 16. The ETT teachers are demanding a notification for recruitment for all 12,000 vacant posts and increasing the upper age limit to 42.

Jobless BED degree holders’ demands include unemployment allowance of ₹2,500, filling of 15,000 posts and doing away with the condition of 55% marks in graduation for posts under the handicap quota.

The court has also rejected his argument that prosecution witnesses were not trustworthy and there was no evidence against him to be implicated.
