The government is planning to make it mandatory to put labels on all products, specifying the country where an item was manufactur­ed. The decision will help people make an informed decision about the products they are buying. In view of the current discourse, consumers can choose between Indian and Chinese goods. This will also lead to the promotion of Indian goods as it will be clearly mentioned whether a product is made in India or a foreign country. The ultimate choice will rest with the customer.
