Google’s decision to invest $10 billion (Rs 75,000 crore) in India over the next 5-7 years shows that things are indeed moving forward on the digitisati­on initiative, though the pace may be slow. Even smaller cities and towns are getting connected, with the number of online money transfers and E-wallets seeing an increase. As always, government support and implementa­tion will be the key.
