A JUSTIFIED ENCOUNTER

-

While the human rights commission and some sections of media will condemn Vikas Dubey’s encounter, I think the police were justified in their actions. Had Dubey not been killed, it would have taken years to bring him to justice? It has been seen that the likes of Dubey enjoy the hospitality of jails and even go on to fight elections and become ministers. Already 60 cases, including murder, were pending against him in courts. The right to a court hearing is meant for those who obey the law, and not hardened criminals. The UP Police, like the Hyderabad Police, have won the hearts of millions across the country.
