Two arrested for robing accountant of ₹1.85 lakh in Yamunanaga­r

AMBALA: Nearly a week after three men allegedly robbed a stone crusher plant accountant of ₹1.85 lakh, Yamunanaga­r police on Wednesday arrested two of them.

The accused are Feroz Khan and Arun, the police said. While Khan used to work at the crusher, Arun was unemployed.

The robbery had taken place at an area near Himachal Pradesh border which comes under the jurisdicti­on of Chhachhrau­li police. The trio was clearly visible in a CCTV footage, Yamunanaga­r SP Kamaldeep Goyal said.

“The accused took the money away at a gunpoint,” he added.

The accused were produced in a court, which sent them in twoday police remand.
