CHARGES TO GET FIRE NOC NOTIFIED
LUDHIANA : The Punjab local bodies department has notified charges that an applicant will have to deposit to get a no-objection certificate (NOC) from the fire brigade. To date, there were no charges. The July 13 notification is applicable on urban local bodies across the state, and charges between Rs 5,000 and Rs 20,000 would be charged depending on the purpose of the establishment. These NOCS would be issued online, and the requisite infrastructure is being put in place. The NOC would need renewal every year by paying 50% of the charges; even otherwise, the NOC will be hiked 10% every year.
