MAN STREAMS SUICIDE ON FB, LANDLORD BOOKED

JALANDHAR : The police on Monday booked a landlord here after his tenant committed suicide while streaming it live on Facebook and blamed the former for taking the extreme step. The tenant had been living in the accommodation owned by the accused for the past two years. In the FB video, he alleged that after losing his job due to the lockdown, he was forced to chores of his landlord, who physically abused him and threatened to implicate him in a theft case if he vacated the place without paying him ₹80,000 rent. A case under Section 306 (abetment of suicide) was filed.
