EX-ARMYMAN HELD WITH 100-KG POPPY HUSK IN KARNAL

KARNAL: An ex-armyman was arrested with 100kg poppy husk from his farmhouse in Karnal on Sunday. He has been identified as Manjeet Singh, a resident of Kachhwa village in Karnal, who was terminated from the Indian Army a few years ago following his involvement in a murder case. Superintendent of police Surender Singh Bhoria said that Manjeet used to get poppy husk from Makhan Singh of Karnal and supply it in Haryana and Punjab. He has been booked under Section 15 of the NDPS Act.
