SC MUST INTERVENE

The recent developments in Rajasthan have once again put the constitutional post of the Governor under the lens. He must never be an old-horse of a political party, and needs to have the spine to take an independent call, based on rules. Even the anti-defection law needs a review as it has been misused, reducing democracy to a sham. The Supreme Court needs to apply its mind to both these critical matters.
