TWO-DAY REMAND FOR BAPU DHAM THEFT ACCUSED

CHANDIGARH : A man living in Bapu Dham and involved in a theft in three locked houses there more than a month ago when the area had been declared a containment zone, was brought to court on production warrants from Burail Jail on Tuesday. Suraj, arrested recently by the police from Manimajra in another case, was sent by the court to two-day police remand. His name cropped up after his accomplice Karan was arrested by the police on Sunday in Manimajra where he was trying to sell the jewellery they had stolen.
