1 million Indians recover from Covid; rate better than global

NEWDELHI: The number of people to have recovered from Covid-19 in India crossed 1 million on Wednesday, offering muchneeded hope at a time when the contagion is spreading to new regions across the country and highlighting the ability of health care systems to cope with the disease burden.

Till Wednesday, 1,019,297 people had recovered and 33,236 others had died, revealed the government figures.
