CYCLIST DIES AFTER BEING HIT BY CAR

PATIALA: A 51-year-old cyclist died while a 34-year-old was injured after a car hit them on Patialasangrur road on Wednesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Gurinder Singh, a resident of Guru Tag Bahadur Colony, while the injured is Jaspreet Singh, of Khasa Mohalla in Patiala. Jaspreet Singh, SHO of the Passiana police station, said, “We have arrested Harpreet Singh, of Haryana, who was driving the car that hit the victims. A case was registered against him under the IPC and we have started investigation into the matter.”
