MAN-MADE DISASTER

Deforestation and construction along the banks of the Brahmaputra River, in the name of development, have caused the Assam floods, which are, thus, man-made. A new law also makes it easier to cut trees, making it clear that we are heading for a disaster in terms of how we are handling our resources. Handle the situation in Assam, before it becomes unmanageable.
