MANIPUR RECORDS 1ST COVID DEATH

IMPHAL : Manipur reported its first death related to Covid-19 in a government hospital in Imphal in the wee hours of Wednesday. Informing this, Prof Ch Arunkumar Singh, Medical superintendent of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in a press note on Wednesday said, “Despite intensive treatment, the patient succumbed to kidney failure, infection of kidney and lower respiratory tract.patient has long standing hypertension and type-2 diabetes mellitus.covid is present recently.” The 56 year old male patient and a resident of Khongjom Sapam in Manipur’s Thoubal district breathed his last around 2 am of July 29.
