ACB books J&K provident fund body officer for corruption
JAMMU: The Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday booked an assistant commissioner of Provident Fund Organisation (PFO) for accumulating assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The accused has been identified as Parvinder Singh of Chatha Farm in Jammu.
He has been booked under sections 5(1)(e), 5(2) of J&K Prevention of Corruption Act, 2006, and Section 120-B of the Indian Penal Code. Parvinder allegedly has accumulated moveable and immovable assets worth crores of rupees “by abusing his official position”, an official spokesperson said. Further investigations into the case are on.
