BODY OF MOGA JAWAN KILLED AT LAC CREMATED

Singh, 24, who died in the line of duty near the Line of Actual Control (LAC), was cremated with full army honours at Demru Khurd village on Thursday. Sepoy Lakhveer, along with another sepoy Satwinder Singh of Kutna village, in Barnala district were reportedly swept away in a flooded nullah on July 22, while patrolling near LAC in Arunachal Pradesh. Satwinder’s body is still missing. Deputy commissioner Sandeep Hans handed over a cheque of Rs 25,000 to the family.
