TWO HELD WITH COUNTRY-MADE PISTOL

JALANDHAR: City police on Saturday arrested two people with a country-made pistol here near Doaba Chowk. Besides pistol, two cartridges were seized from Munit Singh of Kapurthala and Davinder Singh of Jalandhar. Police said that acting on a tip-off that two robbers were planning to loot on the highway, a checkpoint was set up on Jalandhar-pathankot Chowk and duo was arrested.
