2 feared drowned in Karnal

KARNAL: Two youths are feared to have drowned in the western Yamuna canal near Gogripur village of Karnal district on Sunday. They are Ankush, 25, of Kachwa village and Rajinder, 27, of Pundri village. Their another friend Sandeep of Gogripur village managed to come out of water.

An eyewitness, Satwinder, said the accident took place when they were taking a bath in the canal and waded into deep waters.

Police said Ankush and Rajinder were still missing and a search operation was on with the help of divers.
