ELDERLY BIZMAN FROM DELHI COMMITS SUICIDE IN SECTOR 10

CHANDIGARH : A 76-year-old industrialist from Delhi committed suicide at his son’s house in Sector 10, Chandigarh, on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. The victim had arrived here two weeks back. On Saturday night, after eating dinner with the family, he went to his room. He was later found hanging from a ceiling fan. “There was no suicide not found on his person. We are told he was a diabetes patient. Prima facie no foul play is suspected,” said an investigating official, adding that inquest proceedings will be initiated after the postmortem on Monday.
