‘EARN MORE BY GROWING BABY CORN, SWEET CORN’

HISAR: Farmers should grow baby corn and sweet corn during the kharif season for better earnings, said Prof Samar Singh, vice-chancellor, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. He said that maize includes normal, quality protein baby corn and sweet corn. “Baby corn and sweet corn require less time to grow and provide good quality green fodder. Cultivation of baby corn can provide 6-7 quintal cobs and 80-100 quintal green fodder per acre,” he said.
